History
Ulzei Gallery was founded in 2020 by Amgalan Zhamsoev, a Buryat language calligrapher based in Russia. The gallery aims to promote the work of artists from the former Soviet Union, especially those from the Central Asian Republics and the Caucasus who tackle issues related to identity and culture in a contemporary context.
